Our kura whakatauki is “Kia Marama” which literally means “Let there be light”, encouraging us all to strive for greater understanding.
From this whakatauki, we have some guiding tikanga for our tamariki, staff and wider kura community to guide us in all areas of kura life.

Te Kura o Te Kao will provide a pathway that ensures our kāinga and tamariki acquire the attitudes, values, knowledge, understanding, and skills to confidently meet the challenges, of an ever-changing society.

Te Kura o Te Kao is a unique learning environment that lives Te Aupōuritanga which nurtures the autonomy, and decision-making of our uri who are able to contribute to society as lifelong learners.
